Seek mode in HTML5, Android and iOS Pulse SDKs.

Seek Mode in HTML5, Android and iOS Pulse SDKs

From version 2.1.18.1.0 for HTML5 and version 2.5.18.1.0 for Android and iOS, the Pulse SDKs contain a seek mode parameter in the request settings object. This parameter enables you to set if and which mid-roll ad breaks you still want to show, even if the viewer seeks or scrubs past them in the video content. The following options are available:

  • Ignore: This mode ignores any mid-roll ad breaks that were scrubbed past, and does not play any of them. This is the default mode.
  • Play all: This mode plays all mid-roll ad breaks that were scrubbed past, immediately after the viewer has stopped scrubbing.
  • Play first: This mode only plays the first mid-roll ad break that was scrubbed past, immediately after the viewer has stopped scrubbing.
  • Play last: This mode only plays the last mid-roll ad break that was scrubbed past, immediately after the viewer has stopped scrubbing.
